Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle - New trailer
There is a new trailer out for the next Kingsman film and I, for one, am very excited.
The first Kingsman film was something of a sleeper smash for me. I had read Mark Millar's The Secret Service: Kingsman graphic novel and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I had my concerns about the film.
Matthew Vaughn, of Kick-Ass, fame at the helm soon put paid to that and a stunning turn from Colin Firth as super-spy Harry Hart did the rest. It was at the top of my 'to add to the DVD collection' list after seeing it in the cinema.
To the uninitiated, Taron Egerton plays Eggsy, a kid from a council estate who gets recruited into the Kingsman secret service. The whole thing is a delightful send-up of the James Bond principle and it was truly brilliant.
It also contained a string of useful rules, released around the time of the film, which are applicable to gentlemen in the 21st century.
But I digress. The first film came out in 2014 and it is high time we got a sequel - and we are. Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set for a September release and the above trailer is more than enough to whet the appetite.
Julianne Moore is taking over baddy duties from Samuel L Jackson and Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal are all joining the fun.
So strap in for ridiculous stunts, outrageous gadgets and some incredible tailoring (see Mr Porter for full details there).
