Operation Fortune: Guy Ritchie takes on Bond - Trailer

The trailer for the new Guy Ritchie film, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, has landed.
The film focuses on the adventures of super-spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) as he goes toe-to-toe with billionaire arms dealer Greg Simmonds (High Grant).
Judging by the first trailer, this film promises everything you could want from Guy Ritchiee, who has found his groove as a maker of stylish, slick, thoroughly-enjoyable but none-too-serious blockbusters, which marry his early Brit gangster fare with a bit of Hollywood flash.

For those of you well-versed in popcorn-crunching summer blockbusters, this looks like Deckard Shaw (Statham’s character from the Fast & Furious franchise) faces off against Fletcher (Grant’s character from Ritchie’s The Gentlemen). Add in Josh Hartnett as a Hollywood megastar pulled in to help, alongside the always excellent Aubrey Plaza as one of Fortune’s team, and you have a recipe for something really fun.
This three-minute taster promises tongue-in-cheek humour, impressive action and some scenery-chewing performances. It’s like someone took Bond, gave him a shot of absinthe and kicked him through a GQ shoot.
Bring it on.
