Rise of Skywalker's final trailer

For more than four decades, the Star Wars saga has thrilled and enchanted fans around the globe. Now, this winter, the main strand of the story will come to an end.

The fact that the Disney behemoth owns the rights all but guarantees we will be well served with legends from the Star Wars universe spinning off into the future for years to come, but this story began with the Skywalkers and this year that chapter ends.

The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker dropped a few hours ago. Here it is.

I know fans have been divided over the recent films; from Phantom Menace all the way to The Last Jedi, some have felt that these extensions of the story are somehow diluting the brilliance of the originals. Not only do new films not affect the originals in any way - the films still exist as they did before - but I am a big believer that a good story is worth telling.

And this looks like a great story.
