Take care of your face with B. Men

Updated: Sep 5, 2019

I am not a beauty blogger. Not even slightly. But this one is worth sharing for the few of you who might read it.

I've been wearing moisturiser for years, not because I'm particularly ahead of the curve, I had eczema as a kid and have been using a variety of effective (but decidedly un-sexy) moisturisers.

For a while I've been reading about the importance of SPF moisturisers and I don't mind admitting I;ve given them a miss because i wasn't convinced my skin was up to a more chemically complex treatment every day.

But my hand was forced recently when I ran out of options during a few days away and popped into Superdrug to stock up.

B. Men is the company's own line of skincare treatments. It was launched in 2016 as a male equivalent for its B. Skincare line. The products are vegan, cruelty-free and use mostly natural ingredients. So far, so good from a PR point of view.

But does it work?

The cream is easy to apply and smooth on the skin. The science behind the benefits of SPF have been written about far better by far more qualified people than me, so I'd recommend giving this one a shot.

It is within a sensible price bracket - unlike lots of others - it doesn't smell and its easy to apply and wear.

Summer is coming. Maybe we should all be investing in a bit of SPF moisturiser. As Baz Luhrmann said: "If I could give you one piece of advice for the future, sunscreen would be it."
